The organization takes care of children who have been diagnosed with life threatening condition between the age of 2 and a half years and 18 years. All the children that are eligible are recommended by their physicians through the 62 chapters that are present in the country. It is not just present in the United States of America, as it has spread its wings to the rests of the world, where it has managed to establish in more than 47 countries (Cone Communications, 2013).
With that much geographical reach the foundation has been in a position to get involved with the community through a number of ways. One of the main areas that are noticeable is within the philanthropic activities that the organization has been involved in helping families and communities in the different parts of the world.
