Introduction.
Technical design is the effective use of machines, materials and processes to achieve required results leading to the enhancement of the working process and increased output. The utilization of technical design in an industry uses the creation of the system models and the use of effective functional design models to achieve the desired results (Smith, 2008). There exists no single known way in the construction of a technical design model that is right. Therefore, in the constructions of a technical design, the methods used vary largely as dictated by the type and size of the project and the desired results.
What are the key ingredients in a good technical design?According to Williams (2004), there exist a number of key ingredients that are contained in any good technical design regardless of the type, size and required results including an illustration of the system architecture, the use cases of the design, the infrastructure used by the design, interfaces that is; both the internal and external components and its description.
