The issue being dealt with is a delicate one to say the least. The questions concerning same sex marriage arouse a lot of debates. But every person deserves an equal right. I would advise my organizations to focus on equality for all. In terms of SWOT analysis, the argument of the organization would draw strength from focusing on the need to ensure fidelity to the constitution and the rule of law. The constitution outlines the nature of responsibility of individuals. Specifying the nature of responsibility would require evoking the best ethical criteria depending on situation at hand (Boutilier 8). They would argue that it is the duty and responsibility of every person to respect the constitution and the rule of law. Therefore, the focus of the argument should be that regardless whether a person agrees with the law or not, they are legally obliged to obey it. It terms of weaknesses, the statement can restrain from irking religious anger. They should instead appeal to the emotions of the religious conservatives that and make them realize that the rights of the gays are human rights and working against that is a not what God wants.
The organization would have an opportunity to tell people more about their group especially highlighting on the role they are playing to ensure that there is marriage equality. The publicity that the event will get gives the organization an opportunity to reach more people and remind them that just the way there are Christian groups protecting what they consider as morals, there are also LGBT groups speaking up ...
