As adults grow older, they need to take unique nutrition to help them maintain body metabolism according to their age. Adults need to eat food rich in vitamin D and calcium essential in bone metabolism in adults. They should eat milk, fish, and eggs will provide them with calcium and vitamin D nutrients. Adults' diet should contain food rich in fibers such as fruits and vegetables to protect them from heart disease attacks and foster easy digestion (Eat right, 2020). Adult's diet is unique because it should contain plenty of potassium like beans and vegetables to protect them from contracting blood pressure and chronic diseases.
Adults face numerous barriers in their efforts to eat good nutrition rich in all required nutrients. Economic barriers such as lack of adequate finance to buy nutritious foods hinder them from getting good nutrition. Social barriers such as lack of proper nutrition education and lack of support of older people hinder access to good nutrition.
