Stimulating and Non-Stimulating Effects of Beverages
BIO 100 Stimulating Beverages Lab Objective: To determine the effect of stimulating beverages.Materials Needed: Data table - Record of beverages consumed.Data table - Alertness before and after beverages.Beverages (stimulating and non-stimulating)Procedure:1.Each day, for one week, you will determine and record your alertness before and after consuming beverages. Record on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being not alert and 10 being very alert. 2.Record what the beverage was, the day and time consumed and the caffeine content (which you can find online if it is not listed on the beverage.)3.At the end of the week, analyze the data tables. Were you more alert after consuming a stimulating beverage? Where you able to accomplish more work (homework or physical work such as washing the dishes)? Where you not able to sleep because of consuming stimulating beverages?4. Write an analysis of your experiment and submit the written analysis with the data tables to the drop box.
