My investment pool comprised a diversification of various stocks, including Paypal Holdings (PYPL), Amazon (AMZN), Nike Inc. (NKE), Tesla (TSLA), Met Platforms Inc. (META), and Apple Inc. (AAPL). It also includes two exchange traded funds (ETFs), the Vanguard Russell 1000 Value ETF (VONV) and the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY). I included two ETFs because they are much easier to trade with than mutual funds. They consist of multiple assets and securities that provide instant diversification to investors. Consequently, if investors purchase a share of an ETF, their money is spread across different investments. Another advantage is that ETFs charge lower fees than mutual funds and can be traded regularly like normal stocks.
The main stocks for the two ETFs include Nike Inc. (NKE), Amazon (AMZN), and Tesla (TSLA). The purchase price for Amazon stock was $134.62 and sold at $131.47, representing a 2.34% decline in stock value. The purchase price for Tesla stock was $908.94 and sold at $290.14, a decline of 68.1% of stock value. Nike Inc. was purchased at $112.39 per share and sold at $108.68, which represented a 3.3% decline in stock value. The individual stocks and the ETFs in the investment pool did not perform well over the period, leading to a loss of value and money for the account.
