Research Paper Instructions:

the attached screenshots are the topics that I tried and the professor's feedback.
Please come on with a solid topic according to the professor's feedback on my previous topics.
My client for this paper is Xiaomi and the focus is their IoT technology. Please only focus on Xiaomi's IoT technology.
Assignment instruction:
Emerging tech companies need to establish themselves as thought leaders. Clients in the space often ask for help writing pieces that showcase new perspectives on their industry. For this assignment, write a thought leadership piece that showcases the value of your client's company without a hard sales pitch. 3 pages. Examples: Mojo Vision: Why augmented reality needs to move beyond glasses Boston Robotics: Why humans are the most important part of the robotics industry Strange works: Why quantum computing needs to be democratized This assignment is going to be the most difficult of the semester. PLEASE email me with the focus of your paper. I can let you know if it works. The goal of "thought leadership" is to write something that no one has written before, see something no one has seen before. To literally lead the thoughts of the market. You shouldn't take on too broad of a topic (as you would come off as new to the industry and uninteresting) and never be overly self-promotional. Here is some "bad" Mojo Vision thought leadership examples: "How AR is impacting Healthcare" --- Industry reaction would be, "YAWN. Everyone in the industry knows that." "How AR is used to help you see" --- The reaction, "UGH. Really?" "AR in Manufacturing" -- Industry insiders would say, "Are you kidding me? How many 100s of articles have already been written about this." "How Mojo Vision is changing the business of AR" -- Industry reaction: "Unsubscribe" "How Mojo Vision's CEO sees the future" -- "Ehhhh, maybe? But if all he's doing is selling, I won't read the article" Better thought leadership topics should be more like this: "Is AR the answer to curing blindness?" --- This feels VERY provocative and interesting to people outside of VR/AR/tech. It passes the "Huh" test. "Should we look to AR Glasses as the future of the Metaverse?" --- A take on the Metaverse trend. It could be about the different options out there, slowly building to AR contacts as why Mojo Vision has chosen them as the answer. "Why and how regulation doesn't need to stop the speed of innovation" -- Probably for a government or investor target. Mojo Vision could discuss all of the processes of getting approvals and what they have learned. It is helpful for the industry but also reminds them that Mojo Vision HAS those approvals.

Will Xiaomi Router Technology Redefine IoT by Eliminating DDoS Attacks?
Contemporary advancements in technology imply unmatchable advancements in the internet of things (IoT). People are becoming more accustomed to the fact that things will become more connected. Presently, IoT has advanced beyond smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers anymore. A multitude of devices is remotely connected with toasters, door locks, toys, motor vehicles, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners, among other devices joining the list of smart devices. With such advancements, consumers now have the liberty to control a range of products all at once. Connected devices are also convenient in how they help to complete daily tasks like savings, shopping, and temperature regulation. However, such advancement comes with the challenge of security. Cybercriminals are taking advantage of a wide range of connectivity of devices to attack vulnerable nodes. With not much emphasis put on the security aspect of the internet of things, the chances are high that the challenge will escalate with advances in technologies such as 5G. With a new router technology, Xiaomi will revitalize the world of cybersecurity in the wake of IoT developments with advancements in its router technologies that will mitigate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attacks
Developments in IoT have created a platform for newer forms of cybercrimes. The DDoS attack is a cyber-attack in which the offender attempts to make a computer or network resource inaccessible by interrupting the services of a host connected to a network, either momentarily or indefinitely (Anghel et al. 47). Attackers can inject malware into systems that eventually overwhelms the targeted systems with traffic. With the advancements in the internet of things, there are increasing entry points for DDoS attacks. More devices will be connected to remote networks that ease compromise. Some of the nodes do not have efficient firewalls to protect them from attacks. With the increasing connectivity to the internet, the hosts will be overwhelmed easily with a simple DDoS attack.
The occurrences in the past indicate that IoT marks the biggest weakness in networking that could open avenues for future attacks. In 2016, the world was subjected to the first IoT attack. In the incident, a strain of malicious software, Mirai malware, with the capability of attacking connected devices such as security cameras and DVRs were injected into the Dyn networks (Uchendu et al. 108). The Mirai malware turned the affected devices into a botnet to facilitate a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. The networks and websites within the targeted loop were overwhelmed with increased traffic. The Dyn network was flooded, leading to jeopardy in the organization’s hosting services. Notably, Mirai was open source, which makes the code available for anyone to modify. Put simply, the Dyn attack opened a platform for more IoT attacks as the architecture exists in an open-source platform. Additionally, more cybercrimes are planned daily. While the Dyn challenge was a multina...
