The media is a crucial tool in the global society. It is a watchdog of the society hence monitoring the impunity which might be perpetrated by the authorities if not condemned at instances of misbehavior or abuse of the authority vested in them by society. However, media representation is a sensitive topic in the modern day world. Discrimination on grounds of culture and religion is a real challenge. Muslims, Asians and African American individuals are greater risks of discriminations from the dominant races in the society (Evelyn, 2012). There are misled perceptions held my media organizations towards the faith and beliefs of Muslims, Asians and African Americans. For instance Asians and Muslims are perceived to support terrorism. African Americans on the other hand are generally perceived as rogue and disloyal to their masters.
