Different Learning Styles as a Method of Addressing Individual Children's Needs Student's Name Institutional Affiliation Course Professor's Name Submission Date Background of the Study A learning style can be theorized as the combination of cognitive, affective, and psychological characteristics that are relatively accurate indicators of a student's thinking, communication, and response to his or her educational environment. While some people learn most effectively through visuals, others learn better logically or alone. It may take time to ascertain a child's learning style, but the effort is well worth it. Parents can support their children in achieving their objectives within and outside the classroom by understanding how they learn and acquire information (Corno, 2023). All early learners acquire knowledge through purposeful, hands-on activities that involve contacting, acting, and moving. Children also pick up knowledge through hearing and seeing. Encouraging all pupils to study differently is essential to their whole academic development in the classroom. Traditional teaching strategies often only cater to some types of learners. Parents attempt to learn about their children's preferences, general likes and dislikes, and what suits them best starts from birth. This goes on until their children's first day of school. There are numerous effective learning strategies; therefore, teachers must determine which best suits their students. Different learning styles must be incorporated into the lesson to accommodate all students and ensure that no one is left behind. This requires educators to be adaptable in their instruction based on the unique needs of each student. Professional Crisis Management Association (2023) argues that kids attain their full potential in a decent learning environment while being supported by educators who understand their requirements. The goal of education is for the learner to comprehend the material to the point that they can apply it to solve problems in the actual world. Purpose of the Study For decades, there have been calls for educators to tailor their teaching strategies to meet the different learning styles of different students. Over 70 diverse learning style categorizations exist in the scholarly literature (Newton & Salvi, 2020). Most of these are, to a great extent, questionnaire-based – students are prompted to self-report their inclinations to diverse approaches to learning and other activities. As a result, the teacher can assign one or more learning styles to the respective students. This study explores how different learning styles impact students' academic achievement across educational settings. The VARK categorization is usually the most well-established, as it classifies students into one or more auditory, read-write, kinesthetic, and visual learners (Newton & Salvi, 2020). There is a paucity of evidence to address the need to match the instructor to the student’s learning styles. Amid this research background, this study seeks valuable insights into how individualized teaching strategies can improve students' learning outcomes by thoroughly assessing auditory, visual, and kinesthetic preferences. The study will help advance education by identifying children's most com...
