KeraManuel Behavioral Health Services, LLC (KeraManuel BHS) is a telehealth mental health care practice located at 7278 Elkridge Crossing Way, Elkridge Maryland, 217075 under the EIN # 87-2854949. Kerenhappuch Akumah, PMHNP-BC, MSN, RN-BSN, CM (CRNP-PMH) is the primary contact and head of the practice. The agency’s mission is to bridge the gap in mental health care by providing safe and patient-specific mental healthcare to all patients in need. Both remote and personal mental health care services are provided using the Medicare/Medicaid sliding scale private pay services to improve affordability of care. The agency also provides concierge services to persons within 10 miles of the practice and seeking mental health services but are inhibited by their disability or are facing transportation disadvantages.
KeraManuel Behavioral Health Services provides care to all age groups with special focus on adolescent and adult clients. Ms. Akumah has received training in all areas of psychiatry including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, and schizoaffective disorder. However, she specializes in trauma informed care, the integration of behavioral medicine, suicide prevention, and relationship health. The founder and operator of the agency is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with prescriptive authority and over twenty years of providing direct patient care for individuals and families with mental health disorders. Ms. Akuma emigrated from Ghana as an elementary school teacher and transitioned into a nursing career, receiving her Certified Nurse assistance (CAN/GNA) certificate from Prince George’s Community College in 2003. She would stick to this career path and build her professional experience from working with patients with various mental health disorders, eventually earning her Masters from Walden University.
KeraManuel BHS is a minority and female owned agency in Howard County, Maryland. The founder and operator of the clinic is an immigrant from Ghana as well as a survivor of intermarital and post marital trauma, for nearly two decades, together with her two sons. She managed to overcome these challenges and become a PMHNP-BC in America where she advocates for better psychological health, not only for herself and her children, but within the community. With her profound understanding of the complex impact of trauma on people, Ms. Akumah believes in providing comprehensive, compassionate, quality, and personalized mental health services.
