Extreme Auto is a mobile used-car inspection service that was conceived out of the need to serve the working class and business clients who couldn’t access inspection services operated within normal working hours. The company’s mission is to provide affordable, customized used-car inspection services in the most flexible and convenient way while retaining customers through innovative and competitive services. Unlike the conventional used-car inspection services that operate from a fixed location, Xtrreme Auto operates on a mobile model enabling the company to take services to the client’s doorstep. All the customer needs to do is call Xtreme Auto and provide the location of the car. Once we get to the customers’ premise, we hook our inspection system onto the clients’ car. After about an hour, the system displays comprehensive diagnostic results in both soft and hard copy. Before launching thebusiness, a feasibility study was conducted. Potential market characteristics suggested that there were a large number of working class and business people in the Illinois region. The market comprises of the upper and middle class most of who either own cars or use car leasing services. However, the middle class comprise the largest population. In addition, the target market is multi-racial and multi-cultural. A market research established that there was high demand for used-car inspection services especially among the working class and the business market segments. Market research was conducted through both primary and secondary methods. Primary data was analyzed using SPSS v21 while secondary data was analyzed using NVIVO. Primary research wasconducted through market survey using structured online questionnaire. Descriptive research design was used where a total of 1000 used car owners were sampled in the target market. Stratified sampling was used and thequestionnaires pretested among 50 randomly selected used-car owners in the target market.
