'Ladies and Gentlemen, cultural identity is not an option but a solution. It is my pleasure to address two significant cultural identities. In my speech, I will also use specific objects representing each culture to indicate its value in my life and the community. However, to make the cultural identifies comprehensive and understandable, I will align them to specific elements, including qualities of each culture, the impact of culture on my personal life and community, and the object representing culture.
My first cultural identity is a Western religious church community with a cultural commitment to offering community support.
Cultural identity has heavily impacted my life. There are different characteristics of a western church community that are important to me and influence my daily life. The key characteristic is mutuality. The church community creates a mutual engagement of mankind regardless of the areas. The community embraces church-related ideologies that bring people together, thus making me an important person when it comes to mutual interaction. The second characteristic of the culture is the portrayal of God as a sinless being and a role model in society. Therefore, the community embraces holiness, which has also shaped how I conduct myself in the presence of my colleagues. For example, I can successfully portray essential and holy behaviors without external push or force. The last characteristic of the cultural identity is sympathy. Sympathy is a critical value in contemporary society since it determines an individual's ability in the community. Being part of the Western religious church community has enabled me to show sympathy to specific populations such as the disabled. The community collectively participates in community programs aligned to support the vulnerable population. I learned the qualities of constant engagement and participation in the community. Therefore, the three characteristics of the cultural identity, including mutuality, sinless life, and sympathy, significantly impact my life.
