Theory One: Human Relations Movement
The human relations movement, and more specifically, Theory X and Theory Y, are concerned with human behavior in the workplace. Theory X assumes that employees are less motivated and, as such, require a hands-on approach to get work done, while Theory Y assumes that employees are intrinsically motivated and can get the work done with minimal supervision.
