History records prostitution as the oldest profession, which has evolved over the years to take various forms. Currently, those who engage in prostitution do not shy as the demands and supply dynamics shifted. Classification of people practicing the exact change, with some aiming at high-end and wealthy clients. In China, during the early years, prostitutes who chose to serve wealthy clients in exclusive courts got the name courtesan lovers. Primarily, people who were inspired by money could not reduce their levels to serve lower classes of people served as courtesan prostitutes. This presents an interesting point to examine; how they started the business, kept the business, and opted out of the business.
Analysis of this topic would be straightforward from short stories and novels—these present short narratives, and long ones, explaining the information in short and long elaborations. Examining various publications will focus on their imagery of the people who practiced this and the value it added to their lives. It would also be worth identifying if this genre differed much from the normal prostitution that happened within the Chinese culture in ancient times.
Theme of the paper: The paper will explore the origin of courtesan love, keeping the business, retiring from the business, and other differences from regular prostitution.
