A/B Test of Peripheral Revenue Streams
San Antonio Spurs can use an A/B test to understand whether partnering with Tappit will help to drive incremental revenue. Tappit facilitates cashless mobile payments for buying tickets, concessions, and merchandise within the stadium (Tappit.com, n.d.). In particular, an A/B test uses distinctive versions of the content to evaluate a single variable. In this scenario, the half of participants will be shown the San Antonio Spurs app without Tappit and the other half will have access to the team’s app with Tappit. The audiences will be observed within a specific period and their purchasing behaviors recorded. The data obtained will help to determine the best version of the app that San Antonio Spurs should use based on users’ feedback.
The primary metric of the A/B test that will be tracked is revenues. The spending habits of San Antonio Spurs fans will be analyzed to see the audience that spends more than the other. The most
