This photo took my attention because I wanted to know the story behind the picture. There were other pictures of coal mines that I was able to see as well. It shows that it was one of the main industries in West Virginia before. The coal mine was very important during that time as it helped a lot in developing the roads in the area. Going back to the photo, I have never experienced going in a coal mine. I used to think that a mine is very dark and cramped but this picture shows how spacious it is and how orderly. This means the company even before had a technology to be able to dig a secured area inside, complete with concrete walls.

There were other pictures of restaurants where most of them look alike. Tables with a bar on the side. This picture however caught my attention because of its homey ambiance. At first I thought it was a dining room in a house but upon checking the caption, I realized it was a restaurant. From my internet search about the area, it is already closed but it used to be very busy because of its home-cooked meals and pies.
