I largely agree with Cory Searcy. While one would realistically expect modern businesses to adopt practices that are sustainable, doing so without interfering with profits is a hard task. Being sustainable often means increasing the costs of production and it is not always tenable for businesses to do so. If I were to prepare some talking points on the positives of sustainability, the following would be on my list. First, sustainability would help improve the well-being of individuals. Secondly, sustainability promotes a healthy economy where there is better distribution of wealth and the creation of jobs.
