One of the conclusions in the article stated that “Artificial tears gel is more effective than liquid artificial tears for preventing dry eye.” Nurses should consider performing ocular assessments before delivering any health service assistance to patients (Grixti et al., 2012). Wrong diagnosis leads to permanent complications and ruins a patient’s life. Artificial tears gel improves nursing practices by relieving dryness and irritation. Through moistening contact lenses that are performed by artificial tears gel, patients can be relieved from much pain. Additionally, artificial tears gel can reduce tear osmolality while shielding the ocular surface from dehydration. Proper usage of artificial tears gel can improve the eye irritation while preventing it from visual divergence sensitivity.
