The end of World War Two was marked by tremendous changes in America and American society in general. The introduction of GI Bill benefited the servicemen who were returning from the war in various ways, including getting unemployment stipend, the massive growth of the automobile industry fueled by the increased demand, and finally, the increase in the growth of industrial sector and wealth of Americans, men and women alike, as a result of improved patriotism among the people. While WWII was the most brutal war in world history, it brought some changes which were beneficial to the American people,including the introduction of the GI Bill of rights, the growth of the automobile and finally impacted on the nationalism of Americans as well as contributed to the growth of the industrial sector through increased consumerism.
The introduction of the GI Bill was a very beneficial change to the American people. The GI Bill brought benefits such as unemployment stipend to servicemen returning from the war, there was a reduction in mortgages for houses, the people were also given loans to start businesses which in turn created job opportunities, the servicemen were granted education. Finally, the GI Bill gave the young families freedom of purchase, they were able to purchase their own homes in suburban areas, this was facilitated by the fact that they were given first priority in terms of employment so they were earning (Pbs.org, n.d). The introduction of the bill brought positive changes to the lives of many Americans.
The growth of the automobile industry was another change which brought beneficial transformation to American society. A massive increase in the United States population promoted the growth in demand for cars with many working-class people affording to purchase them.
