Abstract
I analyze the writing of my home country assignment. I note the writing styles I used—and the ones I use in most of my writing. I then compare my style of writing to the style of writing of the people of my home country. I compare my writing to that of the American writing, and finally draw a conclusion on whether culture influences writing.
Analysis of the Writing of my Home Country
In the writing that I did for my home country assignment, I often used long introductory remarks before introducing the main points they could take several pages at a time, if I let them. I also used a lot of references in my writing especially from various sources around the internet as well as merging short sentences into longer ones by using commas to separate them, thereby reducing the pace with which the assignments are read, and therefore enabling the reader to absorb the words instead of just skimming. In addition to long sentences, I often use long paragraphs in the structure of my essays and written works. There are also instances of comparisons in my writing, as I made several comparisons between the different people I knew in the different locations as well as the various geographical locations, notable monuments, political systems and also cultures, languages, sports and even fashion. I learned these characteristics from a wide range of sources: from my English high school and primary school teachers; from the countless novels I have read since becoming literatewhile still young enough for my teeth to fall off...
