With this he sought for answers using principles that already existed and were known and he sought to establish particular truths and knowledge. In the discourse on the method IV, Descartes made one of his most startling revelations outlined in his writing (Bennett, 2005). Here in is the examination of his surprise ending in the Discourse on the Method IV and how successful is his writing in convincing the reader to accept the existence of God.
