The model that is used at my agency is the assets based model approach. The model is good because in most cases if you look at the traditional counselling approaches, most of them focus on the problems of the individual and the community. In the asset based model, you begin by identifying the knowledge, skills and strengths of the individualCITATION Wee \p Notes \l 1033 (Week 7 , p. Notes). The strategy plays a great role in improving the mental health wellbeing of the individual since it recognizes their abilities which is a positive approach. I have learnt a lot from using the model to promote the mental health well-being of the individual.
