The above is a photo by Jason Briner to illustrate the variability and the change in climate. It was taken in the Arctic Circle to indicate how the ice is melting due to the increased temperatures. The ice on the mountains is of fewer amounts as it was some years back. Over the years, the climate has been changing; global warming having a major impact on the atmospheric temperatures. The result is that the ice in the Arctic Circle keeps on melting resulting in ocean surges. This is one thing remarkable about the photo that caught my attention. The Mountains in the Arctic Circle are used to be seen covered with ice caps; when there is a reduction as it is seen in the photo, it calls for attention.
