The artwork presented is part of ecological and environmental conservation awareness initiative by Lauren Ruiz. The artwork are part of her current research which mainly focuses on the amount of artificial substances that end up in the human body systems. Her work focuses on the impact and significance of non-biodegradable substances and their impact on lives and the environment. Ruiz used art to illustrate a futuristic state of affairs when humans will be experiencing environmental crisis due to their indiscriminative excavation of natural resources and contamination of the ecosystem.
