Effects of my Diet on Developing Diseases
Diet is an essential and integral part of human life. Like the saying, “We are what we eat,” the food one feeds can determine their quality of life. One of the causes of lifestyle diseases, like heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer, is poor feeding. Therefore, diet can increase or decrease the risk of developing these diseases.
Studies have shown too much fat, especially saturated ones, and too much sodium are among the primary dietary causes of hypertension. According to my diet list, I am at risk of developing hypertension. The amount of sodium consumed in three days is 8295.8mg, which is way too much, at a percentage of 553%. Too much sodium leads to fluid retention in the body
