It is proved by what is said in the play; she lashes out against the cage and against her gender roles. This was achieved murdering the husband. Most of the insights are given by the conversation between the two most important ladies in the play, Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Peters. They wonder if truly their friend, Mrs. Wright, killed her husband. However, whether true or not their main role now is to ensure help is provided for their own; a woman. The go against their gender roles by hiding the evidence from their husbands. In ‘A Doll’s House’ the real issue happens before the curtains are down. The reader or the audience comes to realize a woman, Nora, has been paying their debts against her husbands will for more than ten years.
