Albert: Hello John. A Popular culture is the aggregate of thoughts, viewpoints, mentality, pictures, and other phenomena that are within the mainstream of a given society and emerging global mainstream. A popular culture is profoundly influenced by media.
John: what are your views on popular culture?
Albert: we regularly see the culture as being trivial to discover consensual acknowledgement throughout the mainstream. Licona in her book notes that, popular culture comes under criticism from different non-mainstream sources, which consider it shallow and corrupt. There exist contention in issues related to gender and feminism (65).
John: how are gender and feminism contested in the popular culture?
Albert: Ideas about gender and feminism in popular culture are contested and re-imagined. Moorti notes that, through his analysis his analysis he notes that the division of public and private cases result in news coverage that shift attention from sexual assaults to a discussion of masculinity (71). He confirms that the focus on men promotes feminist explanation of rape.
