Introduction
Education is the backbone for any society that is looking to grow and develop. The system of education in America has been seen to be one of the best. Gauging by the fact that students leave school with an all round perspective, the system is said to have pretty much achieved its goals. However, the dynamism in society has seen the standards change and hence the need for the system to comply. A most efficient education system is one that keeps in tandem with the various changes. The American system, despite being efficient requires serious revamping to ensure that it delivers the intended goals. The focus of the paper is on some of the areas that require changes within the education system as way of improving it and making it more efficient.
Technology
Since the advent of technology, the parameters of education have changed significantly. Unlike in the past when education was fully dependent on books, there is now integration with technology. Platforms such as online learning and e-learning have become more common. Students need not rely on books and course instructors only. They can also supplement the classroom learning from materials available online. America has been at the forefront of the integration of education within the online platforms. This has ensured that students can independently think on their own without over-reliance on tutors and books. There is, however, the other angle to the matter in that there is the loss of innovation in students who can easily access information from the internet. As a result, the graduates produced through the education system are not well versed and do not have the skills required.
All-Round Integrated Model
One way of enhancing the education system in America is through integration of the existing models. It would not be practical to completely abolish the current system. Hence, a more practical approach is to have integration of what would has been in place and the new importation in the system. The aim of such integration would be in order to have a combination of the content in the traditional system and ensure that they fit in the revamped systems.
