Personal Growth Speech I greet you all: Vice Councilor, Deputy Vice Councilor, lecturers, and dear graduates. We are gathered here today for the 2022 Graduation Ceremony of *Insert Name* University.
Every one of us in this hall symbolizes hard work, determination, and persistence. Generally, being here today is a result of resilience and countless sleepless nights. Most freshmen who enroll as juniors in most institutions hardly get to put on graduation gowns, and their heads never get to fit in the hats you are wearing today. In the eyes of society, that gown you have on is equivalent to a hero's costume in the fictional world. You are the chosen ones whose primary duty is to go out to the world and save the less educated.
The main reason I am here today is to talk about something that each of us as degree holders is familiar with. The topic is often ignored yet very important. This is a phenomenon that is bound to be experienced by almost everyone, and the only people who might not be able to have a taste of it are probably those who are no longer with us on this Earth. I am here to talk about personal growth. What is personal growth, you may ask? Some understand this concept as the physical enlargement of oneself. To some, a young toddler turning into a grown-up is personal growth. That might explain why they are not in this function with us today. Anybody with any education can tell you that personal growth has nothing to do with an individual’s physical aspect. Instead, it leans more towards a person’s mental state. Personal growth can be defined as the conscious and deliberate decision to improve one’s state mentally, physically, and even environmentally. The idea is well cemented alongside individuality and self-awareness. This explains why one must let go of the crowd mentality.
