OVERVIEW
As you prepare to write your essay, you will begin by composing an Essay: Thesis/Outline Assignment. This step in the writing process will help you to map out your ideas, develop organization, and ensure that you are on the right track. In your thesis statement, be sure to address one of the prompts. Develop a clear claim about the literature. Your thesis statement should include the title of the literary work or works you are analyzing and specify the name or names of the authors. Your outline should include information for an introduction paragraph (with your thesis statement), at least three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph should have at leasttwo supporting points. Write in full sentences.

Introduction
* Speech Topic: The book of “The Day of Doom” by Michael Wigglesworth and “The Sinners and Hand of an Angry God” by Jonathan Edwards.
* General Purpose Statement: The books talk in deep more about the backsliding of the puritans who were referred to as stubborn sinners who were arrogant on the calling to change from this.
* Audience Information: In the explanation, the description done by the author reflects how the judgment day known as the day of doom, indicates how this day would be to these stubborn sinners. Later in the book, the author urges with the puritans to come back to the glory of god and believe in Him.
* Audience Considerations: From this explanation, aspects of foreshadowing as it explains to them how hell and how the punishment by God to them will happen. Another aspect from the same book is suspicion which is illustrated with the fear of the mentioned punishment by the sinners which might influence their change back from sin. The other book is “sinners in the hands of an angry god” where in the explanations and description is the use of imagery as the bible scriptures mention how hell looks like, the feeling of being there and activities that would happen there. The use of these literature aspects in these books makes them a salvific works of literature.
