Water is a crucial element for making Carbonated Vodka. Water makes up about 70% of the vodka per bottle CITATION Difnd \l 1033 (DiffordsGuide.com, n.d.). However, finding the water with the right composition is crucial, not only to create the perfect taste but also to ensure that the fermentation process is done correctly. Thus, before the beverage is created, distillers would either have to find a water supply that has the right component or to treat ‘purify’ the water to make it suitable.
On the one hand, the addition of water (hydration) can be done if the distillery has an adequate supply of water that is low in ion and salts.
