Project Title: Confessions of the Night
Basic Description
Romance is a beautiful thing to behold. Therefore, die-hard romantics go wild for the mushy stuff, with marriage being the number one winner and, ultimately, the romantic gesture. Although historically, marriage has not always brought love into the equation, research illustrates that it remains the ultimate symbol of love and commitment. With the festive season approaching, everyone desires to spread and show love to those close to them. The presence of such circumstances demonstrates how everyone wants a happy ending. Not all love stories start well. Research illustrates that people meet their better halves in strange ways. Because of such externalities, most filmmakers today tend to capitalize on these situations, creating historic, romantic films, such as the Titanic. As a media student, the desire to create a movie that people can resonate with has become the driving factor leading to the writing of this plot. Accordingly, this present proposal aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the story I will utilize in creating my film, Confessions of the Night.
The project will feature various characters, but only two will be the key players. The movie will begin by showing one character, a lady (Aris), at a party with her friends. Because of the many activities at the party, the film will show people socializing, dancing, and taking pictures while another group is swimming at the pool. The blue sky makes it a perfect atmosphere for the young night. Besides, there is a master of ceremony, whose role is to keep the crowd excited and hooked to each song played on the mega speakers set up in various locations. The party’s purpose is to celebrate students who undertook their studies at Sunshine high school. Notably, the film will also feature a segment whereby the master of the ceremony takes the podium to thank everyone who managed to attend the event. At the same time, the master of ceremony will request that everyone takes a moment of silence to commemorate those who passed on but were part of the Sunshine high school fraternity.
Surprisingly, at this moment, the character Aris learns about Ban’s death, who was her high school crush. Upon inquiry, Aris is informed that Ban died of a short illness. Shook by the news, Aris storms out of the party and begins to travel home but gets involved in an accident because of the trauma she has endured after hearing that Ban died of cancer. The accident makes Aris have a flashback of her high school days, making her begin to recall how they used to be lovers and how they ended things. Aris recalls how she presumed Ban was ending their relationship because of her colorblind disease. The two characters blossoming love over their health conditions, happy moments, and life apart from each other forms the main plot of the film I intend to produce. In my final project, I plan to create a love film through a video. Therefore, a specific media form that I will utilize visual art, such as video, to ensure the audience understands the movie better.
